“I bought this unit a couple of months ago and I'm wondering what is the highest temperature recommended for gaming performance? When I active the cooler boost and the high performance the temperature goes to 85 grades. Is that good?”

It's fine, Ryzen tends to run warmer than intel, but it doesn't hurt it to hit the lower to mid 90's. If you feel you need to, buy a laptop cooling pad, which is basically just a big fan pointed at the bottom of your laptop. It'll lower your temp by a couple of degrees.
