Perfect Thin and Light gaming laptop with 1 catch

This laptop is one of the most power thin and light gaming laptops you can buy. It offers similiar performance but at 500$ less than the Razer Blade 15 with a rtx 3070. -The Fans hit around 52DB in performance mode when gaming, after a while it will throttle very slightly. You can manually turn the fans to MAX where they get close to 60DB but no throttling will occur if your concerned about getting an extra 200mhz on your CPU clock speed. While not bad at Auto if set to Max theres quiet a bit of coil whine, I think its unavoidable in fans this small though running that fast - The battery life is amazing setting screen at 60Hz and battery savermode it streamed youtube for over 13 hours. -The 240HZ 1080p screen has really good color accuracy 99.9% SRgb - The trackpad is very nice but I thought the keys where a bit to squisy/soft for my liking The only major drawback to this laptop is it doesn't support USBC charging. A nice feature to have in any laptop but seems extra important in a modern ultraportable gaming laptop.

The laptop is very powerful for the price. It is a thin and light gaming laptop that can be carried anywhere. The battery life is actually impressive for the performance; on battery life mode, it can last up to 10-12 hours running continuously. The thermals of this laptop are the best I've seen in a gaming laptop (I always had Intel gaming laptops before), and the fan noise isn't loud unless you set it to the extreme mode. The screen is good but has average brightness. The speakers' quality is also good but average. Overall, it is a very good laptop for the price. I've seen reviews about a broken hinge, but it is not true. My friend had it for over one year and recommended me this laptop because of the quality (I had an Alienware M15 R4 before). In conclusion, the hinge will not break if they are treated normally. Of course, if you try to break them, they will break like every other laptop in the market.

AMD advantage edition! Supreme combo cpu gpu. This is a beast of a laptop. Premium build. This now supports FSR 3 on cod warzone. It is amazing how many more FPS you get. Iv tried many (Literally dozens) of other brands and wayy more expensive units. This is the one! Using the HDMI out also boosts FPS. Using it on a 4k or QHD monitor is no problem! I was hesitant because I've never used a msi brand laptop before but this is top notch! I highly recommend msi brand. I had zero issues setting up the laptop with the software installed. I prefer the MSI software like MSI Center over anything on a Lenovo Legion, Acer, Asus or Dell. Using the 3D Mark demo on steam. I get over 10,000 score. I bought 2 of these. Both perform the same.

Awesome laptop. Can play any PC game with easy on max settings. The graphics are flawless. The system runs great and honestly couldn't tell you what it cannot do with ease. The only downside are the hinges no matter how careful you are. Will have to get a replacement for it but it will be worth to have again if still available.

The downsides first: it took some real work to get all the drivers to update properly. I believe I restarted this thing at least a dozen times yesterday. It took going into device manager several times and disabling and enabling the iGPU and the 6700m, as well as the Bluetooth adapter to get everything to work properly. My Bluetooth mouse and Xbox controller weren’t working without doing this to the Bluetooth adapter. I could not control screen brightness or change any settings like turn on the blue light filter without doing this to the GPUs. I am deciding between keeping my Legion 5 I recently purchased with the 6600m or replacing it with this so I ran benchmarks. To my disappointment, TimeSpy, Fire Strike, and PCMark all had lower scores than my lower spec legion. Turns out the drivers were all jacked up and it didn’t take care of this automatically as I ran updates. From customer photos I see above, many people are posting benchmarks that are much lower than my final results after getting everything up to date. Oddly though, the PCMark bench is still a bit lower than my legion even though the others are the same. Perhaps this memory or drives are slower. (after looking more closely at my results, the “physics” score is more than 10% lower. This is clearly due to CPU throttling on this MSI. The legion with its larger chassis is apparently able to keep the CPU cooler and at maximum power for the whole 25 minute bench. Keep in mind that this is quite the COU and even throttled performance is not a bottleneck for todays most demanding games or most workloads, but still worth noting.) Please see my photos for benchmarks that seem to be better than the others posted. The trackpad is indeed loose like a YouTube review said. If you tap along the front of it even relatively lightly, it sounds like you’re clicking it. Many times if you drag your finger across it, it reverberates and sounds a bit cheap to me. The good: once everything was up to date, performance is great. The lowest fan mode you choose in the MSI Center software is nearly silent. When I’m not gaming, it really drives me nuts when my laptop sounds like it’s going to take off when I’m browsing or watching a YouTube video. The highest fan settings seem no louder to me than “normal” with many gaming laptops I’ve owned or tried. The screen quality seems quite good, I’m not a creator so the exact color accuracy and all are not key features for me. That being said, it looks better than my legion screen and the brightness is roughly on par with it, plenty bright for indoor use. Beyond the trackpad, build quality is excellent. I love the premium feel of the metal chassis. No creaks, significant flex, or hinge issues on mine. Reviews have stated the screen is a little wobbly but this is not my experience. It’s slightly looser than my legion but not to a meaningful extent. BATTERY LIFE IS INSANELY GOOD. Way better than my legion and according to a very good YouTuber, among the best he’s ever tested. It shows. Can’t think of anything else at the moment. If I didn’t mention something it’s probably because it’s average or otherwise unremarkable but just fine. Please ask questions if you’d like to before you purchase.

High performance machine. Holds battery for a long time in nongaming tasks. Thin design. The specs are great, however radeon 6700m graphics card is less performant compared to rtx 3070 and has only hdmi 2.0 out, which caps qhd monitor refresh rate to 144hz and 4k to 60hz. The rgb keyboard is comfortable to type, the lightning options are limited though. Bought this laptop for a special price ~1300, if it was higher would opt for legion pro or zephyrus g15.

A phenomenal all-around lightweight, long-battery, and performance laptop. Bought at the price of $1,199 on sale; that price is a steal. Decided to buy this laptop after the motherboard on my ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 (2060 & Ryzen 9 4900HS) fried. Pros: 10/10 for performance. Gaming is phenomenal and best targets FPS/quick-action games requiring higher framerates; zero complaints. Comes with a Ryzen 7 5800 and Radeon RX6700M; the benchmarks match my desktop (yes, desktop hardware NOT laptop hardware) i7 9700K and 2080 Super. Quick benchmarks I've tested include Valorant on highest settings around 500+ FPS in customs and 300+ in full 10-person games and 200+ FPS on games like Destiny 2 on ultra quality settings. The screen is a 1080p screen regardless, so no personal benchmarks were done on higher resolutions. 10/10 for the screen. Personally, I play more relatively competitive games which would benefit FPS games over lesser-competitive-style games. Thus, I would take the 240hz any day over the resolution. It's a 1ms delay monitor; the screen tearing is pretty much negligible. 15 inches is a sweet spot for me as well. 14-inch screens tend to be too small for me (lots of squinting needed), and 16+ tend to be too bulky. 10/10 for weight and physical appearance. The case is a metal/premium feel; an indirect con is I often feel a need to protect the laptop casing more than others. The metal may feel like it gets scratched easier, although yet it is very strong and feels very smooth. This actually weighs decently less than my previous ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 (with 2060 & Ryzen 9 4900HS). 9/10 for peripherals. Comes with a camera, a solid two USB slots, and USB-C. However, there is no ethernet (would've been a 10/10 breaker for me if they had one) and no Displayport, although USB-C to DP conversion is possible. On the other hand, the lack of ethernet is always understandable for thin and notebook-style power laptops. 11/10 for price. The fact this laptop was on sale for $1,199 during Prime day was an absolute no-brainer steal for me. However, when considering the default price of $1,599, it doesn't hype a bargain as well. 10/10 for battery. AMD has stepped up their game with long-life battery capabilities by providing their CPUs with significantly less TDP & power usage compared to Intel CPUs. Tangent-wise, AMD CPUs in the past few years being capable of providing on-par performance, and similar pricing, but only requiring a quarter of the power usage of typical Intel CPUs are why AMD chips are now better known in the industry today. The battery lasts anywhere from 8 to 12 hours of non-gaming usage. This is perfect for my lectures, classes, and a day of usage containing mostly non-gaming purposes. The 8 vs. 12 is mainly influenced by internet usage and program CPU usage. Either way, 8 hours for a day's worth of juice is more than I can ask for, ESPECIALLY with a gaming laptop. Cons: 7/10 for the hinge. Aside from common complaints regarding broken hinges posted on Reddit and similar 3rd party forums, the hinge seems a bit bothering to me. Ironically, with the hinge's capability to go a full 180 degrees, it seems very unstable when doing so and very easily prone to a snap or damage on the hinge when pushed to its extent. Either way, I'm much more careful about the hinge, but I have to do so in the first case because of its noticeably unstable design. Other than that, this laptop is worth every penny for the price I bought for. In the case this laptop goes back to the same or similar pricing again, I suggest all gamers add this phenomenal 4-pound powerhouse to their bucket lists.

So far, it's been great with this MSI Delta gaming laptop. I wanted to get back into PC gaming because I got tired of my PS4 and didn't want to deal with trying to get a PS5. I mainly want to play age of empires 4 and Halo games and so far this PC has handled those with no problem. PC doesn't weigh too much at about 4.5 lbs and looks slick. I'm debating on selling my right year old MacBook Air, which has been a great portable computer but is showing it's age. The screen on this thing is so much nicer than my MacBook both for playing games and just for daily use like watching videos. Overall I'm happy with this PC purchase.

I bought this to upgrade my ROG Zephyrus which had a 6 core Core i7 and an RTX 2060. I expected a small performance boost but was pleasantly surprised to see that it was MUCH more. The only issue, which really doesn’t bother me because I use an external keyboard and mouse, is that the area above the keyboard gets HOT while gaming. And it heats up quickly - 7-10 minutes. I measured it with an IR thermometer At 129 degrees. Having said that - the CPU and GPU don’t throttle themselves at that temp so it’s not a big deal. Computer runs anything I throw at it at near max settings!

It has extraordinary performance and a suburb refresh rate. Overall its an amazing gaming laptop and decided to go ahead and get it while it was on sale. I upgraded it to Windows 11 with no trouble at all and have installed a couple games on it and overall it works very well. The only minor issues about this laptop is that like all gaming laptops, it does get very loud particularly when playing graphic-intense games and the exhaust holes in the front do get very hot during those gameplays. Another thing to note is that the refresh rate changes to 60Hz when unplugged and 240Hz when plugged in. As games and higher refresh rate does drain battery. Also note that if you don't use it for at least 10 minutes+ and leave it on, it'll shut off automatically, however I have had no troubles with that since it does leave my applications I left open from before. I do find it disappointing you can't charge this laptop through the USB-C port. But again, this are problably just minor things to note about.

Excellent laptop, picked it when on sale! Impressive power out of the box. I’ve read some review warning of the inverted motherboard, I have already taken it apart Twice, First time 30 min, second time 10 minutes the ram was upgraded to 64gb, closed, and started up again. It’s a few ribbon cables to disconnect, the battery, but nothing major at all, this is coming from a complete amateur, Very happy with the purchase and relieved upgrading this laptop was a breeze in the end. Visually appealing sleek design, very well constructed. It definitely feels and looks like a premium laptop. ALL AMD, mine came with 2 free games also far cry 6 and resident evil village, excellent value! Glad I didn’t pass this one up when on sale!!!!

Pretty dang good when it comes to game play capabilities. Pretty poor battery as is to be expected in labtop. My w key is a little messed up. In other words; don't be rough with the keys in the keyboard because they're butterfly keys and you can't just pop them out and replace them. Display is really good.

With the proper cooler this thing rips! It's on par with my 1080TI + I7 9700K system, just louder. Especially on sale this has to be one of the best bang for the buck laptops out there. Wish the motherboard wasn't inverted. Most MSI laptops are easy to work on and upgrade but not this one. So you lose a star due to the extra risk of upgrading the hard drives.

    Beautiful (and powerful) Gaming Laptop

Overall This went from wow! about the exterior of the laptop (finish, texture, details, build, etc) to WOW! inside. It’s an overall, beautiful system that’s fully compatible with Windows 11, if you care about that. It runs everything you can think of throwing at it. Most games should run at 1080p, however some big AAA hits with demanding graphics may need some graphics settings adjustments. With that said, this is not a next gen game console killer. This is more close in line with their predecessor, non 4K upgrade console (XB1/PS4). Running some AAA titles with ultra or high settings generates lots of heat. Enough so that the speaker grill above the keyboard can get hot enough to burn your hand if you rest it here. During these more demanding scenarios, there is a significant whine coming from the fans. At peak I measured 84dB. Under normal load however, that produces about 42dB. In none of my gaming sessions did it throttle. On the other hand, MSI likes to pack a lot of stuff in the laptop. Some of which I much rather they didn’t. Bloatware such as Norton, which can be uninstalled I suppose, their own music player and others. Hardware is premium! The 240hz display brings a fluid motion across everything you throw at it. Top it off with a bright and vivid picture from the LED display. You’re left with an excellent picture quality. The included storage drive is pretty speedy (not the fastest but still good). I measured about 3,000 MB/s Read 1,800 MB/s Write. 16gb of speedy ram is perfect for gaming. The keyboard has a nice feel and look with a bright LED backlight. But Mystic Lights lacks a bit of customization for them. The keys have a nice feel upon press but I feel they’re a bit large. Some of the multi function keys feel misplaced as well including the Function key. The worst part of the hardware pieces used to assemble this unit, the Camera. In terms of specs, it’s on par with everything else on the market. But this camera is not compatible with Windows Hello. A pretty big issue for the engineers to overlook when designing this laptop. Bottom Line- This is a great gaming laptop for both gaming or productivity uses. But be prepared to deal with some bloatware, deal with issues surrounding muscle memory on the keyboard, and the lack of Windows Hello unless you pair other devices with this.

As an IT Manager who likes causal gaming and does studio recording I am a complete snob when it comes to picking out a new laptop. I had about 5 laptops narrowed down to for Black Friday and ended up going with this. Beautiful machine, I love all the specs and the keyboard is a masterpiece. This was my first MSI purchase and it has been great so far. I’ll upgrade to 64gb and add another m2 when my warranty is up. Also, boot time is 7 seconds from me hitting power to me typing in my password. Impressive! Battery life is awesome!
