A:Answer Mine is the i9. I did see there was a very similar model i7. I would contact Best Buy directly and confirm. Just like other electronics, cars, etc., they tweak something with each upgrade but it’s basically the same model. So, it might be the difference between the 2020 vs 2021 model…or other. Sorry to be vague, but I think you have to contact Best Buy. Also, go on the MSI website and do some research. The supply chain issue is contributing to this as well. Only so many models available.
Not that you asked for all of this, but my background is with MACS. But I needed a Windows machine to work with a special CAD software. I’m getting a real education now on what MACS don’t offer. I figured while I was making this investment I’d look for the best bang for the buck and get a decent graphics card, plenty or RAM, etc. This machine fit the bill. I do photo editing, music, video. So, I needed something that could handle all of that.
