- Answer If you're getting service that's 100mbs or higher, steer clear of this product! The packaging is very very misleading! You won't get anything above 90-95mbs over Wi-Fi. It's NOT a gigabit router.

- Answer Was covering a 1600 sqft home without issues. The wifi is great but keep in mind the WAN port is only 10Mb. It is not a 1 Gb connection to your service provider.

- Answer Yes you can, any modem will work with this router, however you will need to use a modem that will work with your Internet Service Provider (ISP)

- Answer Yes - this does work with Spectrum. I set this up in my daughters apartment a couple weeks ago and it was a pretty easy process. For your signal question, if i remember correctly, I did see 2 separate signals available - one for 2.4 and one for 5GHz.

- Answer A modem is needed to have a single connection from your internet provider. The router branches out the single connection the modem gives into 4 or more possible wired connections and if also wifi enabled allows for wifi connectivity for all those devices as well. So you can purchase both a modem and a router separately or purchase a modem/router all in one. Personally I recommend using the modem/router all in one type device. Been using them about 15 years and have never had issues. Upgraded models 3 times so far. The family has cellphones, tablets, game systems, laptops and printers on connected on wifi and all working great.

QuestionIf I am just needing something to have Spectrum set up internet/wifi without renting their router would this item work the same as theirs? I heard it’s cheaper to buy my own router than to pay to rent theirs? I do not plan to have cable, just internet.

- Answer Not sure. Usually we have 2 phone and 2 laptops in use. Sometimes we have 3 phones, 3 laptops, and a printer in use at the same time.

- Answer No, it does not have a coaxial connection to recieve the internet from the wall, just ethernet ports to distribute the connection over wifi. You'll have to purchase a device that acts as a modem/wifi router.

- Answer Do't know much about modem. We do have Motorola modem. Purchased this router to replace our 10 years old Netgear router that decided to stop working. We picked this one because of the price and it's dual band compatible with 5G if we have 5G one day. It works good in our 3 bedroom apartment with 2 TVs and 2 tablets.

- Answer Yes it most certainly will. Any WiFi router will work with any modem. You’ll follow the routers directions for connecting to your modem via cat5 or cat6 cable.

- Answer It's a router that you would connect to the home internet modem, I suggest to call home internet providers in Manhattan like verizon or spectrum, I'm using this router with verizon fios internet and it works great

- Answer You need to physically connect your internet connection(via a cable) to the router !st.Then you connect your laptop to the router wirelessly through your settings and will need to enter your routers password which can be found on the router..Then you're all set to access the worldwide web.
