A:AnswerI don't know how to fix it, in the sense of the word, Either the adapter work or doesn't. If is defective, or does not work it should be returned to the store within the proper time for a replacement , or credit.
A:Answerno, it's so slow it would cripple your system. you'd be better of getting a netgear nighthawk ac1900. bigger, but speedier and more reliable. not sure if it will work with a direct usb connection to your ps4... i think it needs to connect to a windows system.

It is a receiver only; you must have a wifi router within range for this item to receive signal from which then feeds to your device (laptop, tablet, etc.). On its own it does nothing without a router to feed to it.
A:Answeri think it's compatible, but mine was so slow it eventually became unusable. i'd get the much bigger netgear nighthawk ac1900... it's quick, but quite a bit larger. if your chromebook does not have wifi access, no matter what you choose should come with install software so that you can install it properly. if you want a small form factor, try another manufacturer other than netgear.
A:AnswerI used an older model NetGear WiFi adapter, the WNDA3100 dual band for about 7 years and had little trouble with it until it finally died a tragic "death" in a severe thunderstorm. I bought another of the same model in a "v.3" version and it lasted for 3 years until it quit operating altogether. I now have owned this AC600 dual band adapter for over one month now and it has shut down about 4 times in that span for overheating problems. I am assuming this diagnosis because each time it shut itself down it was very warm to the touch, when I pulled it out of its USB connection, and I had to allow it to cool down for an hour or so before using the computer again.
I cannot recommend anything at this time as I am still trying to get this new adapter past any "break in" period or whatever to see if it will perform for longer times over 8 hours without overheating. I will give a future reply if circumstances change on this model but, as of a month of total use for extended periods of time online, I have to say that I hold no great hopes for this being my answer to a dependable replacement for my older model NetGear adapters. This seems to be a sad trend in much of today's electronic equipment. When it is working the way it should and the consumer is perfectly satisfied with the product, that is the time when the producer will change the equipment to something which is inferior to the older model! One wonders why they bothered to mess around with the dependability of the equipment at all??? Except for an increase in profit margin, it is a difficult problem to solve by an average guy like myself.
