A:AnswerI have Verizon Fios and it works fine. The only thing you have to do is when you are trying to install, you have to do it thru the website that Netgear has for this specific product.
It is not complicated at all, few steps and Boom!.
A:AnswerDo some research on the Internet for your router- you should be able to find this out. Buy it and If it doesn't work, you have 30 days to return it to Best Buy.
I'd be surprised if it doesn't work- I have Verizon FiOS which is notorious for not being compatible; works for me.
A:AnswerSet up is pretty simple. The instructions include 2 options. After plugging it into an outlet you can either use the WPS button on the extender and your router to connect them or do it through a web browser.
A:AnswerWhen you originally set up the device you set a username and password. Connect to the extender and go to http://www.mywifiext.net in a browser and make the desired changes. If you don't remember your log on info you will need to reset the device. Open the following link in a browser and check out page 27:
http://www.downloads.netgear.com/files/GDC/WN3000RP/WN3000RP_UM_1Feb13.pdf
Then follow the instructions on page 8 to set up the device like new!
Good luck!
A:AnswerNo direct connection was required for us.
I plug it into the porch power outlet and it wirelessly boosts our house wifi signal to encompass our backyard.
Works great.
It comes with instructions to have it recognize and link to an existing wifi signal. Pretty straight forward.
Hope this helps.
A:AnswerYes it can because mines my wifi extended is 50 feet from the modem and it lets me connect to my laptop, amazon firestuck, my phone and Xbox with fast connection. The setup is really easy to do.
A:AnswerYou can under 2 easy conditions. 1. The extender must be plugged into an outlet where it recieves a good wifi signal from your router. 2. You have a 300ft cat6 cable or multiple cables with eithernet connecting clips inbetween each one.
Side note: If you run the cable to that building and buy another extender (so 2 total). Plug the cable in the other extender at the building in the woods. You would then have wifi all around this building in the woods :) hope I answered the question!
A:AnswerYes. That is the very reason we purchased this. We have two Xbox One's in the house. The one furthest away from the main router was having signal problems. This solved that problem.
A:AnswerDefinitely! After setting up my Wi-Fi extender and placing it a low zone area in my home, the signal on my cell phone and IPad have improved significantly.
A:AnswerYou have to re-establish the connection to the Xbox. By default the extender takes the name of the network it is connected to and adds a -EXT suffix. So if the name of the router was "myrouter" the name for the extender would be "myrouter-EXT". You would connect the Xbox to that one.
