QuestionThis model says self evaporating so it does not need to be emptied, correct? Also, does the venting kit work in windows that open/slide sideways?

- Answer Thank you for contacting Newair. The unit will collect excess condensation from either dehumidification mode or normal operation in humid areas and the unit will need emptied out. Yes, the venting kit works on windows that open/ slide sideways. Best Regards, Customer Care

QuestionBest Buy description states this unit has a single hose . Manufacturer states it's dual hose. Can I get some clarification before ordering.

QuestionIt says in the description that the machine is self-evaporating; however, it also says that the tank will have to be drained. Which is it? Will the moisture be automatically ejected with the hot air exhaust. Or will it a tank need to be draining a lot?

- Answer There is a drain option and I have run mine in both "dry" mode and "cool" mode and have nkt had to empty anything yet. I believe in time, I will have to empty the collected water but havent yet. I've had my unit for aboht a month and have used it every day.
