A:AnswerHello. The Dash Cam can be hardwired in using the Nextbase Hardwire Kit. This can be hardwired into the fuse box for the vehicle. Please follow the hardwire kit fitting instructions for which fuses can be used. Thanks, Nextbase
A:AnswerHello Larry. The Nextbase micro SD card recording times on the 522GW are the following:
32GB - up to 4 hours before looping
64GB - up to 8 hours before looping
128GB - up to 16 hours before looping
Each time is halved when a Nextbase Rear Module is added. We recommend using a Nextbase microSD card with all our Dash Cams.
Thanks

A:AnswerThe internal battery only last for a short time. The camera will need to be plugged into a power source (cigarette adapter which is supplied or a hardwired kit which is sold separately). It will need constant power if you plan on using parking mode. The hardwire kit uses a fuse tap. I have a 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 and the supplied fuse taps in the hardwire kit is not compatible with the size of fuses in my truck. I had to buy a separate fuse tap to plug into the hardwire kit.
A:AnswerI asked my son in law this same question when he installed my dash cam earlier this month (March 2021). My dash recorded a horrific accident that I was a victim of from a red light runner at 3:30pm in the afternoon. I survived, but my car is totaled. Anyway, my son in law told me that you can simply touch a button on the dash cam to save an incident if you want to, but it does not display the cabin facing recording because it would be too distracting when driving.
A:AnswerHello. In answer to your questions.
1. The 522GW has GPS to record speed and location. This is automatically on. It can be turned off on files if required. If you dont wish to pick up GPS for speed and location then the USB end of the cable can be plugged into the dash cam rather than the mount to disable it.
2. The speed and GPS are tied together so you would need to have GPS enabled to record speed
3. You can automatically download and share footage to the app using Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2
4. The app is free of charge via Google Play Store or Apple Store. It is the MyNextbase Connect app
A:AnswerHello. The 522GW has an internal battery located inside the Dash Cam. It uses a rechargeable lithium ion battery. We recommend charging the Dash Cam prior to first use for up to 2hrs to give it a full charge. The internal battery is to be used in case of an accident or collision when there is no power, or for intelligent parking mode. We recommend keeping the Dash Cam powered at all times. Thanks, Nextbase
A:AnswerThe Alexa function of this camera goes through your cellphone. So if you should be able to speak to it in any language that is available for Alexa on your phone. The app for the camera itself also has several languages available.
A:AnswerThere is an app that you use to connect with the camera. I don’t like the phone app that much and find it’s easier to download any videos with my laptop. If you see something or if something happens the videos on the card are easily protected from being over written.
It does have to Bluetooth pair with your phone for the GPS and SOS features to work. Setting it up isn’t hard though, and the directions are easy enough to follow.
A:AnswerIt doesn’t have night vision per say, but the main camera does work well in low light situations. I am not sure about the backup camera attachment that you can buy, but the in cab camera doesn’t see much in the dark.
A:AnswerYes, it does. Also when someone attends to your car and try to do something inside or around your car, the camera sense it and start recording everything happening.
