A:AnswerYou don't NEED internet to use them, however, you do need it to view them remotely. You can get away with just hooking up a monitor and using them as is, but if you can hook them into a network they are nice to be able to view remotely, pull footage, etc.

A:AnswerIt depends on the DVR your work provided you. As long as they have the same type of connection, and similar specs it should work. I use older cameras on these DVR's all the time, and the quality of the picture is not as good, but they work fine and still record as they should. So as long as they have the BNC connection it should work....
A:AnswerThe longest cable I have installed is 100 ft. There is no difference in quality between the 60ft and 100ft cables. The quality depends on your cameras. I do recommend the 1080p over the 720 cameras. If there is no cuts in the video cables you should be able to run longer cables with no issues.
A:AnswerYou can get them in 2 packs, either from Best Buy or pretty much anywhere online that sells the same camera systems. They usually come with cables as well. Very easy to add onto this system.
A:AnswerYes, but I have had issues with them past that point. Get another BNC cameras cables with the adapter and you should be able to get them another 100 feet past the 50 or 75 that it comes with. I have had issues trying to get them any further from that.
A:AnswerThere are a 60ft cable per camera If you buy a 8 Chanel kit with 4 cameras there will be 4 cables but you will have channels to expand. Nightowl has nice systems that alow remote viewing just download the app and setup is a breeze
A:AnswerI have added many different brands of cameras to these DVR's, and the Night Owl ones are the best to use with it. The cameras show up how they show up. My guess is that the lighting is low enough to trigger the Infared lights which make it appear black and white. Try adding light to the area where the camera is at and see if it switches to regular mode with color. There is not a color adjustment setting, and I would recommend just getting a couple of actual Night Owl ones to replace those.
A:AnswerThere is no speed requirement, however, the slower the speed the slower and more difficult it will be to view them remotely. I would recommend at least a 25 mbs speed at the very LEAST. Which is stupid slow. I have some that are connected to Verizon Cell tower router and they are so hit or miss on being able to remotely view them. The faster the better!
A:AnswerGood Afternoon, you will need to have an available monitor to connect the DVR to watch the live stream and set it up. Everything else you need is included in the packaging. Thank you for choosing Night Owl.
