A:AnswerI also own a D90 and the only reason to upgrade is to a Nikon FX camera, which is extremely expensive (but worth it) and it requires all new lenses. My suggestion is that when you're ready to upgrade, upgrade to an FX camera.
A:AnswerThis isn't really a close up lens. I have better luck with my 18-55mm lens. If you really want great Macro or close up shots get close up filters. They work like any other filter and have different magnifications. They can be used individually or stacked. I found a Vivitar set of four for $20, it's been the best purchase I have made.
A:AnswerThe lens hood is laughable. It's tiny and cheap. Most likely with an f1.8 you will be shooting mainly in low light conditions which preclude the need for the hood.
A:AnswerAll US Market Nikon lenses come with 1 year of international warranty good no mater where you go and a 4 year extended warranty good in the US only.
