• A:Answer The Nikon D3200 is compatible with type E AF-S lenses such as the AF-S NIKKOR 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR. However, you may want to keep in mind that this lens is an FX format lens while the D3200 is a DX format camera body. An FX lens image circle when projected on a DX sensor crops the image, and has the effect of magnifying the image by approximately 1.5x. For example, a 200mm-500mm FX lens on a DX format camera will give you the equivalent angle of view of a 300mm-750mm lens on an FX camera.

• A:Answer No. The Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR lens has an electromagnetic diaphragm mechanism in the lens barrel which will not communicate fully with the Nikon D80. This camera model is fully compatible with AF-S and AF type lenses, like the AF-S NIKKOR 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR Telephoto Zoom Lens. Please check your camera's manual or contact Nikon Support for further details on lenses that are compatible with the D80.

Since you state you are shooting at night, and the fastest aperture you will be able to achieve throughout the zoom range of the lens is 5.6, it would be highly advisable that you increase the cameras ISO setting to increase your shutter speed - if your intent is to freeze action.
