You do not get any vacuum bags with the cooker have to get that yourself amazon has a huge selection for under fourty bucks bags and the vacuum device. Will it be as good as a standalone sous vide device, maybe not but if it's not something you do enough to justify another two hundred dollar investment this is probably good enough for most of us. I've seen a youtube on this machine using sous vide mode.
