QuestionThe water reservoir gets mildew or algae or something stuck in the bottom underneath the black piece that is screwed down (instead of being able to be popped out). This is quite common. How do we clean it? Or do we trash it?

- Answer Try a cap of bleach in the reservoir and let it soak. Do not run the bleach solution through the machine. Hint. Put the bleach in before the water to mix it all together

- Answer Yes. Just use the boiling/ hot water feature. It dispenses whatever size you select directly into your cup or bowl. The machine dispenses it separately from the coffee dispenser so the hot water doesn't taste like coffee. Also great if you need hot water for a bowl of cereal.

- Answer No, the temperature is preset and cannot be adjusted. For hotter coffee, try preheating your mug, using the warming plate, or running a descaling cycle. - Answer I read somewhere in the documentation at Ninja that you cannot use reusable pods in this particular model. I was a bit disappointed about this, though I still live the DualBrew Pro. Perhaps someone will make a reusable pod for it in the futere.

- Answer The Intelligent Warming Plate on models with a glass carafe can be adjusted to stay on for up to 4 hours, with a default setting of 2 hours. This helps keep coffee warm for an extended period. In contrast, models with a thermal carafe do not include a warming plate. Instead, the thermal carafe uses double-walled insulation to retain heat. Since the insulation blocks external heat, a warming plate wouldn’t affect the coffee’s temperature inside the carafe.

- Answer On the Coffee Machine, the hinged hood on top is used to access the brew basket when brewing with ground coffee. You lift and slide it forward to add your coffee grounds, then close it fully before starting the brew. This ensures proper brewing pressure and keeps the area clean. For pod brewing, a separate Ninja Pod Adapter is used instead. Full instructions are available in the owner's guide on the Ninja website.

- Answer No this machine uses 3 inserts for water and requires a special reusable filter that you can buy. I have 4 of them and they were really inexpensive and work great.

QuestionEvery time we brew any kcup with the Ninja Dual Brew it leaves a lot of grounds in the coffee and we have to stain the coffee before we drink it, Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

- Answer I'm not sure what you're doing differently, but we haven't had a single ground in our coffee. And because the Ninja punches three largers holes, compared to a Kuerig that does inmy one I think, the cofee tastes better. Attached a pic of a cup I literally just finished.

QuestionWe purchased the Ninja DualBrew 12-cup system for the stainless steel carafe. Oddly enough, we like it except for the carafe. Because the carafe has no lip, it spreads everywhere and makes a mess every time. Does anyone else have that issue?

- Answer We have tried multiple approaches to solving the "drip" issue with carafe-slow, faster, aligning the lid, full pot vs. Smaller volume. We have not solved this issue. Only thing that annoys me, otherwise great purchase.
