QuestionIs the assembly of this treadmill difficult?

- Answer If you follow the instructions closely, it wasn't difficult. The hardest part was getting the unassembled (heavy) platform into the house. Make sure to open the box and bring the pieces in separately. If you assemble the treadmill outside or in your garage, you may have problems getting the fully assembled treadmill through standard doorways.

- Answer Wi-Fi is NOT required to work out. It is functional as a stand alone treadmill.

QuestionDoes this treadmill have any preprogrammed workouts?

- Answer The Nordictrack Elite 800 treadmill provides access to a large library of iFIT workouts, but you have to download the iFIT app to a smart device and then connect the smart device to the treadmill console. The treadmill comes with the connection cable. I haven't tried that option yet. I just manually increase/decrease the speed and incline when I want to vary my workout.

QuestionThe Elite 800 comes with a 30 day trial of iFit. Where is the screen to view this? The description combines features of the elite 800 and the Elite 1000. There is mention of a 5 inch LED screen but I do not see that on the pictures.

- Answer The 5-inch display is at the top of the control console. The display provides continuous exercise feedback with a light blue background. You need to use a smartphone or tablet to activate the console's exclusive features. However, you can use the treadmill in the stand alone mode without doing anything.

QuestionThis says a feature of the treadmill is a cushioned deck. It says "you can choose to cushion your run or have a true road running experience." It does not feel like there is cushion. Is there a way to "choose to cushion my run"?

- Answer i don't see any method of toggling the cushion deck off or on. It does have an incline adjustment and speed. But nothing more than that. I do like the cushion deck though. sorry if that isn't helpful.

QuestionWhy are there no images of it folded up. Also why does some of the specifications state elite 1000? Are all of the specifications correct being this is the elite 800??

- Answer it's a huge treadmill; a mat recommended for underneath; you can fold it easily, it has a hydraulic lift. I don't know anything about the elite 1000. If you plan on folding it, read the instructions before you do anything. The incline setting must be at Zero before you fold it.
