Q: QuestionI spoke with Allexis at Best Buy and was told this phone system will answer a call and require the caller to push a button to be connected to a "person" allowing bogus calls to be monitored and go unanswered. It does not say this in any of the details.

• A:Answer That is correct. If the person calling isn't in your address book, then the caller has to press 1 to continue the call. No more robocalls. It doesn't even ring.

• A:Answer No. If you are going VOIP just hooking it to a modem will not work. You need a Service and equipment. There are different ones. I use OOMA. Initial base unit is $80.00 at Best Buy and the monthly charge is $19.83. Please review other VOIP options as if you don't need the extra handsets there are VOIP base/phone combos.

• A:Answer Hello, Dave! If you do not have a landline, you can use the Cellular line only mode feature. If you turn on the “Cell line only mode”, disconnect the telephone line cord from the base unit. Otherwise the “Cell line only mode” cannot be activated. Hope this helps! -C

Q: QuestionDoes this reliably auto-connect with the cell phone when you return home? My elderly mother had a different system that we had to re-pair the bluetooth connection at least half of the time when she would return home. Reliability is imperative!
