- Answer Yes you need to add 2 cups of water to the water tray as per the instructions. It works in conjunction with the fan and the lid to keep the smoke inside the unit.

- Answer Marinade your ribs overnight, then slow cook them in the oven 40 min but your sauce on them then put them on the grill for 15 minutes.

- Answer Absolutely! If the marinade has a lot of sugar, you’ll get more residue on the grill plate. When that happens I just rinse it off or wipe it with a paper towel before I put it in the dishwasher.

- Answer I’m sorry ... used it twice before taking it back... in my opinion it was not user friendly because of having to add the water .... I wanted something more simple... the fan was very loud, to me... it sounded like it wasn’t going to last....

- Answer Disclaimer: In no way do I mean to be condescending or demeaning. 1. Completely disassemble the unit, and then re-assemble it as per the unit's instructions. 2. Ensure that all connections are solid and secure (into the unit, into the outlet). 3. Ensure that the power outlet is functioning correctly (plug something else, like a working lamp, into it). 4. If it still fails to power on, contact the manufacturer.

- Answer My lid has a rubber like edge to it and seems to seal just fine. My friend bought one from kohl’s and it has the lid can be propped up on the unit, but she didn’t get the grill plate which I think is important, it’s like two appliances in one. I guess there are more than one model that are all called power xl smokeless grill. I am very happy with mine.

- Answer It says they are. I have used the dishwasher for the plates bit it is easy to wash the rest by Hand. Although I haven’t used any bbq sauce.
