A:AnswerBattery has indicator lights - you must take the battery out of the device and use c-type charge cable and then re-install battery back in device every time you charge this model of doorbell. BUt you can also buy the solar charger by Ring or the small transformer and wire by RIng. This model will not power up from existing 12v-24v doorbell system.

A:Answerjust installed mine yesterday. I wouldn't call it waterproof but it is certainly water resistant by design. I'm hoping since it's under a covered porch it will be fine but if it was left exposed to the elements I would be concerned. Don't know if that helps at all. good luck.
A:AnswerHi John.
Thanks for asking. The rechargeable battery can go months between recharges with normal use. This is dependent on a number of factors in your home’s environment, such as the local weather and the number of activities captured. Visit our support center for additional details.

A:AnswerHello.
Great question. No, a subscription is not required for the Ring Battery Doorbell Plus. The Ring Protect Plan is a subscription that gives you access to paid features for Ring devices. With a Ring Protect Plan, you can save, review, and share video recordings from your Ring devices to your Ring account.
Without a Ring Protect Plan, you can still view real-time video for Ring doorbells and cameras and answer doorbell notifications when they happen, but you don’t get video recordings of those events.

A:AnswerHi OldMan.
Thanks for asking. The Ring No-Drill Mount will be most effective on even and smooth surfaces. It may be difficult to adhere to brick, shingles, and rough stucco surfaces. It should not be mounted on glass. In all cases, the wall should be wiped clean before attaching the No-Drill Mount.

A:AnswerYes you will need the chime. The wired connection allows for no battery but the only notification you’ll receive is through your phone if it’s not silenced.
If you have Amazon devices they can be set to alert you to your ring alarms. I have mine set to tell me there is a person at whichever door is activated when the doorbell is pressed. I think you can have motion alerts set up as well but I can’t verify as I never wanted that feature on and haven’t tried it.
A:AnswerHi Zoemaster.

A:AnswerHi susieQ.
Great question. Yes, the Ring Battery Doorbell Plus will work without Alexa. It requires the Ring app on a compatible mobile device and high-speed internet. Ring Battery Doorbell Plus is compatible with b/g/n wifi networks operating on a frequency of 2.4 GHz.

A:AnswerYOu can buy Ring Chimes that are then tied to your Wifi system. So you must have wifi (not a Bluetooth connection). However, if your want a different tone for your front door to the tone heard for your back or side door, you need a chime for each doorbell - Ring did a poor job designing that feature.
A:Answersorta in color but mostly grays. Daytime is in color but the pictures/videos are somewhat grainy when you blow up to see any detail (the angle width of the video is rather wide mading the video look kind of like a fisheye lens photo.)
A:AnswerHi gabi.
Good question. Yes, the Ring Battery Doorbell Plus can be installed using the No-Drill Mount (sold separately). The No-Drill Mount uses a strong, non-damaging adhesive to keep your doorbell securely attached to the wall. Just adhere your compatible doorbell to your wall, then attach it to the No-Drill Mount and see, hear, and speak to visitors from anywhere.
