- Answer YES! That’s EXACTLY why I got my Chime (wireless). I absolutely hate being notified about every single motion going past my property, so I got my Chime, turned off all my cell notifications & if somebody comes to the door & presses the button (you know, like people with manners used to do, lol), it rings with whatever sound you chose for your Chime. For example, mine makes the sound of a dog barking. There are a few choices of tones to choose from.

QuestionCan it be set up for doorbell alerts only. Don't want it to be blowing up everytime it catches motion alerts. Really only need it for doorbell chime speaker to hear when someone is knocking

QuestionI'm looking at a ring chime and a ring door bell and a echo show 5 so I can see who is at the front door. how do I get this set up I have 2 wired door bell. how do I get the second wired door bell to work when you just plug in the ring chime.

- Answer Yes, but the setup has to be reinitiated - easy because the chime will be id'd as being already part of the system. But I'd consider another chime unless you've always got your phone at hand.

- Answer Hi Omid. No, the Ring Chime does not function as a wifi extender for Ring devices, only the Ring Chime Pro does. You can find more information on the Chime Pro here: https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038168452-Ring-Chime-Pro-2nd-Generation-Information. The Chime will still provide you with audible alerts when your Ring device detects motion or someone rings your Doorbell. All the best, Ashley from Ring.

- Answer Yes. For me every 3 to 3 1/2 weeks for my front door due to traffic in my area. The other doorbell a little longer because it’s located in the garage.
