QuestionDoes the floodlight cam have to be installed to an existing floodlight, or can I install it to where a normal outside porch light was?

- Answer You should be able to replace your porch light with this, but maybe watch the install video(YouTube it) and see if it looks like the brackets look the same. They should be.

- Answer Hi Kapp, Great question. The width coverage for the Ring Video Doorbell is 180 degrees horizontal, 140 degrees vertical. Additionally, Nine feet (three meters) off the ground is the optimal height to get the best range for the motion detector. With the motion detector parallel to the ground, Floodlight Cam optimized for detecting human-sized objects up to 30 feet (10 meters) away. QuestionWhat is the wattage on this light? I am installing it for some friends of mine, and am curious if 14/2 Romex will work for it, I'm assuming it will because #14 is rated at 15 amps, and that would be roughly 1500 watts.

- Answer Not sure what the wattage equivalent is because they are LED lamps. All I did was replace an existing floodlamp wired to a 110V circuit and it works great. The lights are plenty bright and judging strictly on brightness, I'd say that each LED is equal to a 100 Watt bulb at least. So you get 200 Watts total (estimated) from the lighting portion of the unit.

QuestionDoes the floodlight work with android phones or just iPhones

- Answer The ring devices work with android devices. You can download the ring app from Google play and use your phone to setup the target area for the motion sensor. We currently have two ring devices that have been setup and are functioning on our Samsung Note 8 devices. Ring sends us a notification if someone or something moves in our targeted area.

- Answer Yes, you are alerted day or night with this product. I love the fact that it lets me know anytime someone is in my driveway. The picture is so very clear and you can listen to them speak clearly as well. I like this product so much, I bought the Ring Doorbell 2. I also like the fact that if I hear something I can click on live view anytime and check things out day or night and the picture I see is clear. I hope this helped you out.

QuestionOur existing porch light is mounted to the top SIDE of the door - not over top of door. Can this be mounted to the side of the door and still display who is at the door? I know you can adjust the motion area, but not sure you can adjust the camera. Thx

- Answer The camera does have a swivel mount similar to a floodlight motion sensor and can be adjusted. The motion detection is 180 degree and the camera viewing angle is 140 degree. If you are replacing a regular porch light, keep in mind that any switches to the light would need to remain on for this unit to work as it needs constant power unlike a porch light with a switch.

- Answer They are "water resistant" . If you purchase the $100.00 Protect Plus Plan there will be a life time warranty, otherwise there is a one year warranty. Do not know about ip rating.

QuestionI plan on having a designated tv to constantly show video from each of our 5 cameras. Would these cameras be able to be shown on the screen simultaneously and run continually?

- Answer Hi Chrissy, Good question! At this time our Ring app is only compatible with IOS and Andriod as well as Windows and Mac desktop versions. - Answer Lights can be scheduled to turn on/off at desired times, in addition to responding to motion. You also have the ability to manually turn on/off the lights.

- Answer There are different ways to install these things based on the setup you have for the existing electrical. If it works, looks sturdy, and is sealed against the wall (has a rubber ring around it to keep out moisture), then you should be good to go!

QuestionI recently purchased a Ring floodlight with camera. I haven’t had it installed because I’m curious about the replacement of the LED lights. With that being said, can the LED lights be replaced? And, how long does the LED lights typically last?

- Answer I’m pretty sure that the camera has a sticker that said non serviceable parts and from what I can see, the lights do not look like they can be replaced. I did a Google search of non replaceable led lights which indicates a life span of 30-50k hours which broken down to 10 hours a day of usage comes out to 13.5 years. My opinion is that it’s definitely worth it and in 13.5 years the technology will be more advanced and you will likely want to upgrade at that point. Best of luck with your decision.

- Answer Yes. You can manually turn the lights on in the settings on the app. You can also set it so the lights stay on with a timer.
