No, the 24/7 Recording feature cannot be turned on while your Ring Camera is using battery or solar power. 24/7 Recording can only be turned on if your Ring Camera is plugged in to continuous power. The device's battery level may vary based on the amount of direct sunlight the solar panel receives. It is important to ensure that your Ring Solar Panel is installed correctly and that it is receiving enough direct sunlight to operate as intended. For best performance, Ring recommends at least two to three hours of direct sunlight for the Ring Solar Panel. With the recommended amount of direct sunlight, the device will remain continuously charged under most conditions.     • Answer Any of the ring products use Alexa as a third-party so the answer to your question is yes they do tie in. I have the echo show 5 and two echo show eight and the echo dot. They answer to your question absolutely without a doubt if you have any other questions for me, I would answer them honestly with my experience and I’m not tech savvy. I also have ADT, but I feel safer with the ring products that tie in to my Alexa and if you have a fire stick device on your TV that also ties in.

    • Answer I have my cameras tied to my internet in my house in Mexico. A year ago Telmex (the Mexican phone company) upgraded their internet, and Telcel started providing 5g service. Works like a charm for me and is surprizingly reliable.

  • QuestionI bought 10 spotlights 10 extra batteries and 10 solar panels. I installed 5 but only 1 is say that the solar panel is connected but other 4 ate not connected. What could be the problem?

In order to extend the lifetime of the lithium-ion battery, your Ring Solar Panel will not begin charging your battery until its percentage drops below 90%. You may see the solar device’s status as “Not Connected” in the Ring app when your battery is over a 90% charge, and this is normal. Visit our support center for more information.
