I use this for my airbnb as well, when the doorbell rings you get a notification on your phone and you also have the option to set up the phone notification sound. Similar to setting up your ringtone. Makes it really nice for checking in guests without being present.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No need of actual ringer. Work with smartphone only
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The doorbell has chimes that can be purchased and set up on your phone in the device section with the doorbell setup.
I would recommend:
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You can see all people passing in front of the camera, with motion zones set higher, it's virtually impossible not to be seen and recorded. There wouldn't need to be a door bell onsite, you can leave that connection off and it should still record as people pass by or press the button. If guests were to disable your WiFi, then you'd lose recording and ability to observe live.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It depends on your setup. You don't need a ringer, but if you have one installed and you attach the Ring doorbell to your electrical wiring then it will trigger your existing doorbell chime. You can uninstall your current chime and have the Ring only show up on your smart phone. Or, you can buy the Ring Chime and have it installed indoors (if you want the Chime to ring and alert someone inside the property of movement or a doorbell ring). It depends on what you want to achieve, but there are options for most situations.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If I understand correctly you don’t have a door bell chime already installed in the home. They do have an option that comes with a chime also. Even without the chime you could still get alerts to your phone. Hope that helps.
