Is there a subscription fee to use this product null

There two optional subscription plans. For details check https://shop.ring.com/pages/faq

Not to use for any current/active view. The view prior events does require any one of the Amazon ring subscriptions.

I was offered two plans that save the videos- a $10 per month and a $3 per month. I declined them both. Recording sounds nice , but I do not like monthly fees.

No - at least not yet that I am aware of!
