  • QuestionIs there a monthly fee or service charge for the Ring brand door device to work? Or other type of subscription?

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Hello. Thanks for asking. No, a subscription is not required for the Ring Video Doorbell. The Ring Protect Plan is a subscription that gives you access to paid features for Ring devices. With a Ring Protect Plan, you can save, review, and share video recordings from your Ring devices to your Ring account. Without a Ring Protect Plan, you can still view real-time video for Ring doorbells and cameras and answer doorbell notifications when they happen, but you don’t get video recordings of those events. • QuestionHow long does the battery last. Before it needs to be charged

    Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer A lot will depend on how often it gets triggered. On average, our device triggers about 5-6 times a day. It's generally us coming/going, Amazon deliveries, or occasionally traffic passing on the street. Some days it's more frequent; our unit generally lasts about 3 weeks before needing to be recharged. You get a message on your phone that your battery is at 30% and needs to be recharged, plug it into a USB and it fully charges in about an hour and a half. You can also use the app to check it's status any time, so if you expect to be away from home for a time you can check it before you leave to see if you need to charge it to cover your absence.
