QuestionRecently purchased RF-HTB517 Cable and HDMI kit and really pleased and want to purchase more. I see a clearance item RF-HTB515 which is almost identical except that the box doesn't say HDR on it. What is the difference between both models??

- Answer It has nothing to do with the surge protector. HDR refers strictly to the HDMI cord. My guess is Rocketfish updated the HDMI cord to the "premium certified" version and changed the model number to accommodate newer cable. Same surge protector. If you have follow-up question about what "premium certified" means...look it up. www.hdmi.org

QuestionDoes a surge protector ever fail? I have an older one about 12 years old or so. It still lights up and works. Do newer models such as this Rocketfish have better technology and will it improve picture quality?

- Answer Do you really need a concrete answer? I bought these new protectors, and guess what, I'm not having a single second thought -about any of it. Got them on clearance / sale. Was very easy decision for me. Here's my viewpoint: you spend 1500$ on new 4K HDR tv, and you put it on the line for a few bucks.... risky, maybe dumb. 23.99 clearance, plus HDMI cable. "Easy"
