- Answer In the User Manuel it gives you 3 methods to connect to your tv. It comes with an Optical Cable. You can also connect to separate external devices with the Optical Cable by connecting them to the Soundbar. Hope this was helpful.

- Answer I added the rear speakers to my system but then took them back. The rear speakers from Samsung could not be heard with the sound bar playing in souround sound mode.

- Answer Hi Chris - I was able to synch mine up pretty quickly to my DirecTV remote, so it is possible to do. I would try it again, or maybe search google for possible other solutions. My DirecTV genie's are new within the last 6 months, so its possible yours are older and have a different code? Good luck!

- Answer I would believe so, but it more depends on your DirecTV controller itself and if it can control the soundbar. You'll have to research that on the remote set up

- Answer I have it connected through HDMI. So the source goes to the sound bard and then the sound bar goes to the TV. Another great option is a digital audio cable.

- Answer I purchased the 2.1 in store yesterday, listened to both, & even-though salesman tried to convince me that 3.1 is better, I liked the sound of the 2.1 better. It had more base, in my opinion.
