A:AnswerI bought this sound bar in dec.2018. and I have been obsessed with the sound bar since. It sounds so amazing everything is so clear and I also like the fact that you can control the bass which was a huge plus for me. Also the price was not bad at all I know that if I would have gone a little cheaper I was not gonna be satisfied with it but this is a great sound bar I really recommend it all around
A:AnswerI installed this for a customer, so I am going by memory. I believe the power cable is about 6'. Keep in mind it has a high voltage converter in the middle of the cable. I usually plug it into the power behind the TV that is hanging on the wall. The small end of the cable can be fished in the wall and plugged into the SB.
I think the display goes out after a few seconds. If it stays on, I didn't notice it. I doubt it's distracting.
Great sound bar. My customer was very happy with the upgrade.
A:AnswerThe biggest difference is that HDMI can pass higher-resolution audio, including the formats found on Blu-ray: Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD Master Audio. These formats can't get transmitted across optical.
But if you don't an HDMI port then use optical cable...
A:AnswerEverything was very straight forward hooking up to a 49" QLED. Took five minutes. Use real 4KUDR cables and the optical cable. Using the ARC port for an HDMI to the bar worked stellar. Might have considered an ATMOS Samsung had it been in stock. The only issue is if you choose to add rear speakers. SWA-8500 is the only Samsung option that would sync up despite what other BB folks said. Samsung tech support was great. I first tired the 9000s with no luck. It should have worked. Samsung was correct.
A:AnswerI believe so. The sound bar becomes your TV's speaker. You have to go into the audio menu of your TV and select external audio option and turn off the TV's internal speakers. After that, I would expect your Spectrum cable remote will be able to adjust the sound bar volume.
A:AnswerDepends on where you place it, needs to be against a solid wall like a exterior wall so sound is amplified the most, if you mount towards the ceiling and angle it. It will sound even louder. Subwoofer is not loud tho unless placed in proper corner and close to sound bar
