QuestionSamsung 400 Series (2.1 / 300 watt) v. Samsung 500 Series (2.1 / 320 watt)?I am debating between these two soundbars for my Samsung J6300 75" TV. Currently, there is a $100 price difference between the these two series models. When I read the reviews, some state that they do not notice a huge difference in sound between just the TV speakers verses using the 400 series soundbar. I do not come across these type of comments in regards to the 500 series though. So, can 20 watts make that big of a difference? And what else is different between these two series models to justify a $100 price difference? Thank you!

- Answer I initially picked up a 400 and took it back - not much better than the TV speakers. To me the 500 was worth the $100 difference. It wasn't night and day, but I was so disappointed with the 400 I guess the 500 is my "entry level" bar. Even the 500 won't blow you away if you are coming from, say, a theater room 7.1 setup like I was (to be fair, that whole system was probably $3000, vs $300 for a soundbar) and I just have to keep telling myself that. I just wrote a review on the 500 if you want more info.

QuestionMy Blue Ray Player does not have a optical port, do I need 2 Hdmi Cables? one for the soundbar to the Tv and One from the soundbar to the Blue Ray?

- Answer I would say no. Use the HDMI Cable from the DVD player to the TV. Use the optical cable from the TV to the sound bar. During setup, make sure you disable the TV speakers and enable external speakers.

QuestionDo I need a seperate remote for the sound bar or will the samsung remote or the verizon universal remote turn the sound bar on an off automaticlly

- Answer If you leave the sound bar on, then the TV remote will control both the TV and sound bar. Then you only need the sound bar remote for tweaking the settings.

QuestionHave 65" Samsung SUHD TV and want to utilize Soundbar. Is a Receiver required or just TV and Soundbar?

- Answer I purchased the soundbar for my 55-inch 4K HD TV and all I needed was the soundbar which came with 7-in woofer. Great sound. No receiver was needed. I have Direct TV so I do need a receiver for satellite.

- Answer No it does not! It has rubber feet underneath the bar, so it can sit upright on a TV stand. The rubber feet allow it to not slip, either.

- Answer It is compatible as long as you have HDMI (arc) or a optical in on your TV. If you have one of those you will be fine.

QuestionLow volume?I just purchased refurbished ones from Best Buy. I connected my 55 inch TV via optical cable. I have to turn up the volume to at least 20 for me to get decent sound. Is this normal? I am not hard of hearing. Thanks.

- Answer I keep mine at about level 14 and it is plenty loud. Is your subwoofer synced up? That helps carry the sound without the need to turn the volume up.

- Answer Open Grill of the subwoofer, There is a plug for speaker level output. You can run a speaker wire from this plug to Highlevel inputs of any powered sub. Just keep the volume level low on the powered sub. It will give you rocking bass. I am using Polk Audio 10 inch powered sub. It works great
