As far as I can tell, the remote. The 7100 has the Smart remote, the 7090 does not. One can speculate that the panels will be of lower quality for the 7090 because of the price difference, but I can't confirm that and my TV has zero issues with contrast/deep blacks, or screen uniformity.

The hit COMPARE and it will bring up exactly what each feature is side by side on under each tv model.
