- Answer Vibrant and colorful! Beautiful tv when the lights are out. It also has an adjustment for room lighting to make viewing the tv more comfy. Check your setup and settings on tv.

- Answer You can use that receiver but if it is not equipped with an optical port you might lose some really good sound.The best sound is optical from cable box to receiver and hdmi from cable box to tv

- Answer Yes, it does. But keep in mind that this TV has smart motion based remote. It takes just few steps to configure it to control cable box, but, just be aware that remote itself has just few buttons, for most of functionality (like guides, DVR, etc) you control it using on screen menus and controller motion.

- Answer As far as viewing goes you can watch your shows at most angles. It's quite amazing really. I don't understand your other question. I don't know what opens from the sides mean. The curved TV is always going to be curved you can'f flatten it out.

- Answer For more information, this tv has 2.0 inputs, all of the HDMI inputs are 2.0, 2.0a doesn't currently exist in TV's yet, however, this TV will be able to accept 2.0a with a potential software upgrade, or if you bought Samsung's UHD evolution kit.
