A:Answer I have used the casement window above my dryer in my laundry room as a vent for many years, and plan to use it for this new dryer as well. The casement window opens from left to right with a 3/8 inch groove along the inside of the frame for a screen. A friend cut a thin piece of plywood the size of the screen, cut out a circular piece the size of an outdoor vent. Thus, allowing me to connect it to the vent hose, which is attached to the dryer. An added handle on the plywood lets me remove it if I wish and re-insert the screen. However, I have just left it in place. When in use, I open the window; when not in use, the window is closed. Hope this gives you some options.
