- Answer If you mean an external enclosure, sure you can. Just stick in in there and hook it up USB to the laptop and you got yourself another drive to play with. I got a couple here and I'm cloning SSD's with one to another on a desktop system. Just takes a while.

QuestionI have a Dell Inspiron 7537 laptop with Intel Core i7-4500U CPU running the Windows 10 Home v22H2 O/S. Is it compatible with the Samsung 870 EVO 2TB Internal SSD SATA drive? It currently has an 860 EVO SSD (MZ-76E2T0B/AM) installed and working.

- Answer I would certainly think so. All you should have to do is hook the EVO 870 to your laptop using a SATA-to-USB , and using Samsung's Data Migration software, close your existing 860 EVO to the new 870. When complete, simply swap the 870 for the 860, hook it up, and it should boot right up.

- Answer No - the M.3 is a totally different drive than the 870 EVO SATA. It takes a totally different connecting slot and are more expensive than the M.2 drive.
