QuestionHow do play wma files from a dvd disc?To whom it may concern, I had burned several movies in wma format on a dvd-r. However, it does not read the disc. Any help?

- Answer You might be better off buying an external hard drive and putting all the files and MP4 or AVI format that way you are able to just play them through the sub menu on the Blu-ray player. For your particular problem you might have to download a software update for the program a lot of players though however striction's on allowing burned media to be played but if you have the file on the hard drive it just plays the file as if it was a home movie and they're not able to check it

- Answer I'm sorry for the confusion, but the DVD-C500 is a DVD player only, and will not offer receiver functionality. That said, Samsung does not make any solo devices that can replace a DVD or BD Player receiver that is part of a home entertainment system. -MrSamsung

- Answer Hitchcock Fan, Models sold in the U.S. support: Blu-Ray Region A discs only DVD Region 1 discs (or "open" or "no restriction" discs). If the disc is prohibited in either A (BluRay) or Region 1 (DVD), it will not play. Thanks for your interest in Samsung products. --Mr. S

- Answer If you purchase the unit within the US, it will only have support for All Region and Region 1 DVDs ("All Region" DVDs refers to DVDs that are marked as region 0 or "Region All". This does not mean the player can play every regions’ DVDs). However, these units will only have the ability to work on US power grids. -MrSamsung
