A:AnswerYes actually you can submerge up to 50 meters but not recommended for scuba diving. Avoid sudden temperature changes. If you get in salt water rinse off and dry completely. Do not expose the device at high water pressure.. It has a feature on it where you can shack excess water out of it.

A:AnswerNo, you do not need to have the GPS + cellular to send and receive text notifications from your phone. With the non go's version you can even make and answer calls using your phones service. The GPS enabled one gives you a totally separate phone number and you have to have a monthly plan on it but it works independently for your phone.
