- Answer Yes! Yes! Yes! Let me tell you, forget the plans, stop listening to people who do not know. Get a prepaid sim, pay as you go! You can get your own number, which I know is a hassle, but only special people can get the new number. When I go for a run, or a drive and don't need my phone, I tell my wife to just hit me on the watch! You get it?

QuestionTablet vs. Out of Contract Phone & Receive and Make Calls?Does this get hooked up as: a Tablet, 10.00 a month, (when purchased right out 329.99)? or an Out of Contract Phone (when purchased right out), 15.00 a month? - Answer It's considered an accessory kind of like a tablet. At&t charges $10/mo. to connect it to your data plan. Yes, you can make and receive calls if you've got the cellular capability turned on. Once you connect it to AT&T, you can call forward to the watch and leave your phone behind. The nano SIM card comes the activation of the watch. But again, activation isn't mandatory. You can just have it connected via Bluetooth. But then you have to have the phone with you for the calling/notification features to work.

- Answer as long as it's android device it's able to connect via bluetooth. someone told me you have to have the same carrier as the watch example at&t carrier on phone then you need to purchase At&t Gear S. THIS IS NOT TRUE. I have a Verizon phone with an AT&T Gear S and works super fine via Bluetooth.. Companies should be more specific that if you wish to use as stand alone you need an additional plan for the service.

- Answer You will need to request unlock if you are wanting to use a different companies wireless sim card. ATT to Tmobile for example. You can get it off contract like I did. Just ask to have the device unlocked when you buy it.

- Answer I went to an at&t store an bought the watch out right an only paid 160.00 but that was because it was a return from someone an the lady could sell it back out as a demo without a plan on the watch! If u want the watch cheaper u will have to set up a (next installment plan)an add a wearable to ur already at&t contract! I think It normally sells for around 200.00 to 250.00!

- Answer No, the Bluetooth will connect your device using your cell phone as the host. It does not matter what company you have your service through.

- Answer Yes you can. I have mine connected to my phone via bluetooth and the message pops up on the screen and you can read and reply to it from the watch! :)

- Answer You can use it without activating it as a Bluetooth device. Send receive calls and text messages while your phone is within distance. The call forwarding and cellular services won't be useful without activation. You can still get a data only plan through AT&T just for the Gear S. The GearS2 is Bluetooth only right now. I know the GearS is essentially unlocked. You could try using a Verizon SIM but it's not confirmed yet.

- Answer If the phone can Bluetooth connect to watch it will work without a Sim card. That's the way I use mine. I also connected mine to my wireless network at home so I can get calls and text with my watch from my phone.while my phone is on charge in the house...

- Answer This depends on your dataplan. I have a shared data plan, so it is only $10 a month and shares the data in my plan. However, since the majority of the time, my phone is near me, i rarely use the data plan on the watch. I have used about 200MB and that's because i was purposely leaving my phone to test the forwarding feature.

- Answer yes it will work but Get the Galaxy note 2 unlocked first. I bought a T mobile note 2 and had it unlocked first and now am using an ATT plan, once unlocked Tmobile and ATT are interchangeable. good luck the phone companies are very tricky don't get a contract ever. ATT has a month to month data plan but its not 10 bucks its more like north or 50. make sure you pick the correct minutes for talk and text and at least 2 to 3 GB per month of data, remember they offer roll over from month to month so after the first month you will have whatever you did not use, but it only rolls one month. after that it starts again.

- Answer Yep. Works great with the Note 4 or any newer Samsung galaxy phone. I have one paired to my Note 4 right now and an looking at my calendar for tomorrow. Reminder pop up on the watch if you want too. Saved me from being late to two meetings this week.

- Answer AT&T charges $10 per month if you want the cellular features enabled. Otherwise you can just Bluetooth connect it

- Answer I had to pay 20 dollars to get the unlock code so I could make it international but I have a mexico telcel simcard I could use the phone here in the united states with that simcard don't know if a china telecom will work.
