- Answer I use Samsung smartphone but having trouble with family members who have iPhone. I blame them because I am not sure they are taking the time to read instructions to sync properly.

QuestionWas anyone able to purchase the plan after the first year expired? I spent 2 hours on the phone with AT&T and Samsung support - neither of them knows how to purchase a plan after the first year expires.

- Answer The ones for sale at best buy run on the att network. Service is included with the device you do not need to add to your cell service. Verizon also sells same thing using their network.

- Answer If you want this on the Verizon network, go buy it from them directly. I don’t know whose cell service powers the one purchased from Best Buy but it isn’t Verizon or AT&T. I tried hooking it up to Verizon first, and then AT&T. The free service took a week or so to activate and I have no other details. It’s great but if you want it connected to your carrier, go to them. You can see the tracker on your iPad through the SmartThings app, which is downloadable.
