QuestionDo the dishes come out as dry as traditional dishwashers using a heated element?

- Answer In my experience and opinion I think it does. I had an older model GE that had the element in the bottom. When we were out shopping for a new one, one of the guys at the store told me that the main difference between a couple of them that we were looking at was the way that they dry. I was nervous about changing that about our old one, but it's been even better so far! I was never big on using a rinse aid in the past either...but I found one through Honest Co. and I am amazed as to how shiny everything is when it comes out. I think that makes a difference in how well it dries the dishes as well. It hasn't disappointed me...

QuestionDoes anyone else have a problem with black rubber flap coming loose and freely hanging from the bottom of the door?

- Answer Yes, after 2 years I have found a fix! I cut it off with a razor/box cutter. Samsung was completely useless and just wanted to keep selling me a new kick plate and install kit. I'm done with this company!

- Answer Hi Washbabe, When the wash cycle is completed: - The light illuminates and the dishwasher sounds a chime. - The dishwasher powers off automatically. - The door opens automatically 5 ~ 15 minutes before the cycle ends to improve drying performance. ^Rosi

QuestionHow long does a cycle take?

- Answer Forever. A "Normal" cycle takes...not kidding...2 hours, 47 minutes. Express wash takes 60 minutes. We have very hard water, so no dishwasher cleans our dishes very well. I pretty much clean them, then run the Express wash as a sanitizer.

Questiondoes the upper rack have a washing source as well that washes the top 2 racks?

- Answer There is a rotating spray bar below the top rack that serves both the top rack and the upper side of the dishes in the bottom rack. There is also a sprayer at the top of the machine that cleans the cutlery tray and the upper side of items on the top rack. It's very effective. The only time I find something not clean is if I (or more likely my wife!) misloads something. :)

QuestionCan you press start then close the door so it will run or do you have to have door closed first then press start? For this to be flush with the cabinets, the counter top covers the buttons.

- Answer Yes you can press start and also do other selections. It will start the cycle once you close the door.

QuestionI just bought this and tried Express 60 cycle. The DW paused in 15 mins, and Display screen would flash “45”. I powered off, tried again, this time it stopped in 5 mins and kept flashing “55”... What does this mean?

- Answer Hello Kenny! Your dishwasher has an infrared sensor which determines the soil level of your dishes and stops the cycle when dishes are already clean regardless it hasn't finished yet. ^Rafael

QuestionIs it normal to not be able to reach the buttons after the door is closed? Ie. I cant even get my finger under the counter, once the door is closed, incase I need to open it for some reason.

- Answer Hi Alyce, I thought the same thing when I first used my new dishwasher. However, I push all the buttons and the start button before closing, and if I want to stop the washer I just open the door. It has seemed to work for me. I do find the buttons touchy and easy to get things changed. I love the way the door opens at the end of the washing. Good luck with your new dishwasher.

QuestionTrying to side mount this unit. Removed the caps and basically there is just a large through hole, not smaller hole or flange for a screw head to secure the unit to the cabinet. Help!

- Answer The answer with using the bracket is correct. It took me about to figure out but it does work. See photos. You need to bend the backet back and forth at the break lines to shorten it's lenght. The photos I attached do not show that yet.

- Answer It basically dries by blowing hot air. It's very effective. If you have any problem, use the sanitize option, the extra heat speeds up drying.

- Answer It has “express 60” that is an hour long. It works with an extremely light load only, in my opinion. I’d use that cycle for “rinse and dry only”. It also has a “sanitize” cycle that I have not used but imagine it uses water. I must say the cycles are long, over 2 hours average.

QuestionWe recently had this installed and after loading our dishes, we found that the middle wash spinner touches the plates when resting. Is there a way to adjust the middle spinner?

- Answer Not without removing the spinner, heating the plastic axle shaft and straightening it. Not recommended! We had the same problem with our newly delivered Samsung dishwasher. It also had other problems. Best Buy replaced the unit with a new one.

- Answer The dishwasher does *not* come with any electrical connection. You must buy a cable (or connection kit) kit that provides the connection type you prefer, whether it is a hardwire or electrical plug. Best Buy offers an installation kit, or you can source the components on your own (electrical cable, wire nuts, strain relief, water line, hose clamp/tube fittings as needed are the gist, but check the installation guide to double-check the precise items and sizes).

QuestionDW80K7050UG Bottom in front of kickplate rubber shield falls down. I have looked at photos online & do not see this rubber flap. Is this suppose to fit behind kickplate? It is unsightly and very wrinkled. I tuck it in & it falls. What is it's use?

- Answer The rubber shield is supposed to be installed behind the metal kickplate. On my unit it does not either interfere or come out of place. The purpose of this shield is to reduce the sound of the dishwasher operating even further. I have to look at the operating lights to check that it is on and working. Hope this helps.

QuestionDoes this have a food disposer for hard caked on foods?

- Answer No just a filter, like most of them. But seems easy enough to clean just reach in pull it out and rinse off. Maytag has a Stainless steel chopper for their machine. However I think the technology has change in the filtering so that is not essential anymore.

- Answer Yes - the top panel has several LEDs to indicate status, with the "operating" LED closer to the front of the unit. It's very easy to tell it's operating.
