QuestionI have a 1080P projector and a 4K receiver (I'm planning to upgrade my projector later) My question is: Can I still play 4k, or just blue-ray? Will I get the best 1080P resolution?

- Answer yes, but must have a 4k tv/projector to get 4k video.and it has a dual hdmi output so much more convenient spliting for both ways.

- Answer Yes. To use my home theater setup: AirPort Extreme with CAT7 Ethernet (100 ft) from second floor to first floor. Connecting to a D-link 8 port switch to split into 8 total Ethernet hub for my home theater setup. I obtained 100ft if cat7 Ethernet data cord with 8 cat7 6 feet lunes coming from the D-link hub!

QuestionI have this player and the LG OLED 55EF9500. I'm getting 4K but not HDR in the netflix app. HDR Blu ray and Amazon will trigger the OLED 's HDR setting. Is anyone else having this issue? Thanks.

- Answer Yep - was seeing something similar. Samsung support said HDR support in the streaming apps will vary from provider to provider. To get HDR on Netflix you need to use an Xbox One S! :0

- Answer I'm guessing you have an android since you asked relating to it but at the home menu of the UHD player (ubd-k8500) obviously you should have seen the screen mirroring icon and like my tv..... Sony bravia xbr-65x910d and models alike are all android and i just happened to have an android phone when i bought and still do and upgraded but in ur pull down box where you have easy access to all the main apps and what not in ur phone there should be a smart view icon showing a TV which if you have Bluetooth on and you click screen mirroring on the t.v. and hit the smart view it should come straight up on ur phone screen..... if im not watching a UHD Movie im on YouTube or watching a movie I bought off the Google store on my phone and connection is hardly ever interrupted.....

- Answer It should. My tv is the Samsung 8000 series. 3D, but not 4K. It says I may see a slight improvement...I don't see it, myself, but for the refurbished price I got, was a steal! I believe that if the tv's not 4K, even if the disc is, you'll still get 1080p, I believe...

- Answer Yes, it may be connected to any TV using HDMI. A 4K TV is the ideal purpose. I would purchase a less expensive unit for non-4K Plasma.

- Answer I sort of tested this. Had a DVD ripped to a bunch of .VOB files, and those actually played from the flash drive. As far as an ISO, I'm not sure. Would you play an ISO file? You burn the ISO to disc and that creates a DVD.

- Answer I dont know what a BENQ HT1075 is but this plays 3D movies like none other! I was watching Tangled 3D and Avatar in 3D and let me tell you what.......POW i SWEAR it felt like Jake Sully was sitting right next to me! Best 3D movie i played on it so far on it as far as quality goes is monster vs aliens! It AWESOME

- Answer I have samsung 55" curved 6 series uhd tv and i have the xbox one s and the samsung k8500 blu-ray player and i was noticed a difference between the two but i was also impressed by the xbox one so it might be you tv because i had a sharp 4k tv and there was no picture differeance between 4k and regular blu-ray so i got rid of the sharp did my homework and upgraded my tv

QuestionI am at a crossroad, I think this is a decent product but I'm torn between this one and the new OPPO 4K machine. Price could be an issue but the OPPO reputation is so far above the norm. Any thoughts?

- Answer This Samsung 4K player works perfect for me and my OLED TV. I personally think the tv makes all the difference . It's been. Great player I've had it since it's been out and have had no issues .
