Q: QuestionWill it work with an HP envy?

• A:Answer Hello, Our Type-C adapters were designed primarily for MacBooks but will be compatible with some Windows PCs. Keep in mind, there are different types of USB-C ports, and if the USB-C port on your device does not utilize DisplayPort over USB-C with Alternative Mode, the video output on our adapters may not function properly. If the PC does not utilize Power Delivery 2.0 (or 3.0), pass-through charging will not function through our Type-C adapters. • A:Answer This adapter contains a Type-C PD port that will allow you to connect your computer charger and charging cable for pass-through charging. Keep in mind that the Type-C port on this adapter is only designed for pass-through charging and will not support video output or data transfer.

Q: QuestionI have an early 2016 MacBook (USBC) and a 2011-2016 Thunderbolt. Will this allow me to connect the MacBook and the Thunderbolt AND also put my MacBook charger cable into the adapter SO THAT I can charge the MacBook AND have the Thunderbolt connected?

• A:Answer We can confirm that none of our adapters support the Apple USB SuperDrive due to excessive power requirements from the SuperDrive. You would need to connect directly to the MacBook in order for this CD drive to be read.
