I'm not very tech savvy but I would create a folder titled SEAGATE on the desktop of the new computer. Then within that folder I would create other folders with specific titles to try to help me stay more organized. Then I would open the Seagate drive and then drag and drop whatever files I needed into the proper folders I created. I have a Passport that I use to store all of my music and this is the method I use when I transfer onto any new computers I get. I hop this helps.
