• A:Answer No. not completely flat because that puts the vacuum itself on the floor, But the roller is so small that you can come pretty close to flat (see my photo of me vacuuming under a crib).

• A:Answer I don't know the exact decibel level but, it is definitely a quiet machine. My smaller Dyson is way louder. So is our roomba. This is probably the quietest handheld I've ever used. In fact, it's so quiet that it doesn't feel like there's enough suction, but there is!

• A:Answer Yes it does and I love this fact as it cleans the dogs hairs from it well. I hold the rug with me feet while I run the vacuum over, very easy and that way I prevent the rug from becoming entangled. I use it on thin or thick rugs. Be extra careful on rugs that have ornaments.
