That is in fact a good question, there are multiple Shark Navigators unit but the 2 you were inquiring about are actually from the same serie, model# (NV356). The rest of the number behind are just internal data that Shark uses to recognize where it was made and where it is sold. There can also be a little difference in what comes in the kit so it may affect the pricing a bit. The NV356K per example is 189.99$ and the NV356E is 199.99$. Hope this information was helpful. A:AnswerI have this model. The only difference I know of is the lift away actually "lifts away". Its more portable. If u have a lot of stairs to vacuum, You don't have to cart around an upright,, U lift out the smaller canister and just take that with your hose. Good for cleaning out your car and such. This model, its not got that lift away option. Its just an upright. So if you live on 1 floor or if you don't mind hauling your upright up and down stairs, this is the best option. Cheaper and delivers on performance. :-) Hope that answers your question!

To empty the Dust Cup Assembly, Grip carry handle and press the Dust Cup release button to remove Dust Cup Assembly. Or option two For Allergy Sufferers would be to wrap a trash bag around the Dust Cup Assembly leaving space at the bottom for the door to swing open.
