QuestionDoes this have manual height adjustment?The details don't specifically say and I can't seem to find the manual online. There are no pictures that show the controls close enough.

- Answer There is not a manual height adjustment. However, you can control the amount of suction and you can turn the carpet power brush on and off. This model works well on my new carpet (the padding has the moisture barrier on the top), where a Miele, Dyson, and Hoover did not work well. The Miele required a $279 power brush attachment, on top of the $500 price, and the Dyson had too much suction for the way new carpets are installed today. The Hoover did an OK job, but was difficult to push, even with manual height adjustment.

- Answer My nv681 says 9.2 amps right on the back of the vacuum. It also says 1100 watts.. I don't know where people are getting the lower numbers.

- Answer Junior Thank you for your question. To remove any hair, fibers, or debris that is wrapped around the brushroll. There is a groove that allows a pair of scissors to cut across to loosen debris. Hope this was helpful. Best Regards, Customer Support team

Questioni just got my shark nv681 and there is no way i can't find the led light switch on the customer service at best buy says the carpet and hard floor is where u can switch on the lights but it is not really working i couldn't find it in the manual either.

QuestionDoes this model 681 glide effortlessly over deep pile, i.e. is it easy to push. I presently have an old Oreck and can not easily push it over my new plush wall to wall carpet. If this model 681 does not can you recommend the best model that will.

- Answer We have an Oreck and this Shark pushes much easier than the Oreck. We have plush carpet in our living room.

QuestionPictures mixed up?!The preview pix on this page show two different heads. Some have lights at the center, but others have lights along the front edge. So which one's right?! I doubt the machine comes with both.

- Answer It does just ask the people at best buy or look at the back of the box (to make sure it does) On it for carpet and the other is for hard floors I'm almost positive that it comes with both and the motor head are VERY useful.

- Answer Dimension Cord Length 30 feet Hose Length 72 inches Height 47.48 inches Width 10.71 inches Depth 11.85 inches Weight 0.87 pounds Okay there is something off here. What I can tell you is that I have osteoarthritis in both knees and I can use it!! Other Examples: Grey = 13.2 pounds, Navy = 28.8 pounds, Copper-grey = 13 pounds, Blue = 16 pounds, Red = 15.8 All of these Shark vacuums have "lift-away" canisters which means you can separate it from the vacuum itself! You can also add an attachment which turns it into a regular type vacuum! There is a video online which shows all of this - and there are pictures.
