A:AnswerI've never encountered the problem you describe. All vacuums will necessarily have an exhaust, and my old Kenmore upright that uses bags would do exactly what you described--however, I haven't noticed that happening with my Shark. Be sure to empty the "tube" regularly for best function. Dust on shelves, etc. builds up, so consider dusting shelves on a regular basis to avoid this problem that could occur with any vacuum exhaust.

A:AnswerThis happened to my other vacuum and I called the customer service and they sent me paid shipping things to send it back and the shipped me a brand new one all free of charge.

STEPS TO CHECK:
-Disconnect the floor nozzle and turn it upside down to inspect the brush roll for debris/hair in the roller.
-Open the bottom frame and do a visual inspection of the hose.
-Reconnect the frame to the floor nozzle.
-Reconnect the floor nozzle to the body.
-Turn the unit on by pressing the POWER button and tilt the handle down.
-Then press the BRUSHROLL button on the handle; brush roll should start spinning.

A:AnswerIt was good at picking up pet hair for about a year. I had two(one was a replacement...would never have purchased a second one) and each one only worked pretty well for about a year. After that does not pick up anything. Yes, I do the maintenance on the machine. Not worth the money.
A:AnswerCord length is very long. I'm able to plug it into one outlet and not unplug it to move outlets like I had to with my Dyson. It is not retractable
A:AnswerIt does not come with the caddy, of which i was disappointed. Did not understand why they showed a picture of it, and not be included. My first one did, and still use it. It comes with a small brush, slanted end nozzle, large attachment for slick floors, and small attachment for furniture. A special attachment with a roller for getting pet hair ect. off. And of course the large power head for carpet. I do love this vac, and given the choice of a dyson or this particular model shark, i will take this hands down!!!!
