A:Answer I bought this vacuum cleaner last week. The question about the tilting the handle back is my question too. Although the vacuum works well otherwise, the tilt function for the handle is VERY POORLY DESIGNED. I have put my foot on the image and tried to tilt back numerous times. And I've watched videos online. The model I purchased does not work like the ones I have seen, and it doesn't even appear to have the same place to step on to tilt. I've use the vac about 5 times so far and managed to tilt the handle twice by trial and error. I am still thinking about returning this product. Also, the directions that came in the box don't even explain or show a decent illustration about this feature. I would not buy this brand again.
