That was one of my concerns when I was on the market for a TV because my living room has a lot of windows. I wound up getting this TV because the in-store team member at Best Buy said this TV would not reflect a lot of light. The screen itself is not exactly "matte," but it is far from glossy/shiny. It does well enough when it comes to preventing any glare or reflection when it is on, but if you're quite particular about it, which I would assume by asking this question that you are, then this TV might not be the perfect match for you.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I find that reflections aren't a big problem with this - it tested well on rtings, too. I wouldn't call it matte, but it definitely doesn't cause issues when light is reflected off of it.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Reflective, and in bright light is quite hard to see.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The screen is not a high gloss but really bright light will interfere with the view of the picture. All about placement in the room and how the lighting is arranged.
