Good for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TV has beautiful image quality especially when playing Blu Rays, but it doesn't do well with fast motion images...they look blurry. Would recommend the TV for gaming or a bedroom, but not as your primary sports or movie Tv.

Gorgeous Picture
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV has the sharpest, clearest picture I have ever seen. The 50" screen is perfect for my living room. Even though the volume could be louder (I have it turned up to 65-70) I am still giving a 5 star rating because I have read reviews for LG, Samsung, Sony, etc., and they have the same complaint. The price was right (it was on sale) so I am pleased with my purchase.

Great TV for all around connectivity!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've used this TV for just under a year. I've never had a problem with connectivity, and works with virtuously everything. This Sharp AQUOS TV is compatible with all new technology and older technology alike. Sharps customer service and product online help is bar-none the best I've dealt with.

Disappointed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TV came in fairly quickly but as an open box item had no original packaging. I don't know what the people who packaged this TV were thinking but it had one layer of cheap bubble wrap inside the generic box as protection. No styrofoam even on the corners. Needless to say the TV arrived with the screen broken in several places. And even though BestBuy had other open box of this TV listed on the website they would only issue a refund, that wouldn't be processed until 2 days AFTER UPS showed up to pick up the TV. Every one of my recent interactions with BestBuy is pushing me to find another electronics provider for my family.

Great Deal!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had been wanting to replace the LCD TV because of the temp of the screen. Went to Best Buy for something totally different. Came across an open box deal that we couldn't pass up. Excellent picture. Easy to set up. What keeps us from giving it 5-stars is: 1. The remote. It is not back-lit & it is difficult to find the button you need to hit in a dimly lit room. 2. The stands/feet have an 8-10" wide stance. We plan on mounting it to the wall at some point, but for now, it just looks a bit odd since most other tv's this size have a much more aesthetic base. Other than that, the TV itself is pretty awesome.

Good bang for your buck but...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Before looking at and purchasing this TV I had never owned a sharp aquos TV or anything from sharp. My sister and son in law always buy sharp so I decided to take a chance. The specs for this TV are misleading. Yes it is a good overall TV for the price I paid but it is missing some features that even my older 1080p Sony TV had. These missing features include native 120 refresh rate, the ability to change the input names and being able to navigate the menus with just the remote from my cable provider. Not a big deal but when I think of this as a replacement TV I think there should be more. The other thing missing and misleading is the lack of hulu and other smart features. Yes, I was upset to see the little amount of smart features that came with the TV. Overall for the price I paid and the TV comming with rca hookups for my older soundbar, hdcp 2.2 and HDMI 2.0 on all of the HDMI port plus the TV having the YouTube vp9 codec I think it is a good but not great buy. I sometimes think I shouldn't have been cheap in how much I wanted to spend and instead got the 810 50 inch model from Sony.

Great TV, poor remote
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is a great value for a 50" smart 4K, but the remote is a bit too basic for a smart TV (needs a full keyboard). However, you can work around this issue by using a smart phone as a remote. Picture is sharp and the apps are easy to use after updating the software. Will definitely enjoy for years to come.

Q: QuestionThe HDMI ports are not marked on the tv. Which one do I use for use of my new bluetooth soundbar ? I currently am using HDMI 1 for my DISH network.Trying to figure out how to set up my new blue tooth sound bar .
Asked by msp19556.
- A:Answer All HDMI ports on this TV are HDMI 2.0, compared to normal HDMI 1.4. This simply means that the TV's HDMI ports have a much higher bandwidth. Feel free to use whichever you prefer as long as your sound bar has an HDMI pass through to return the signal to your TV. Otherwise, I'd recommend using an optical cable or simply an AV cable which is more than capable for transmitting 2.0 stereo sound.

Q: QuestionIs the screen matte or shiny?Curious if the screen reflects a lot of light? The TV I have currently is too small, but I love he matte screen - I never have any issues with light reflecting and not being able to see/watch the tv.
Asked by klg_red.
- A:Answer That was one of my concerns when I was on the market for a TV because my living room has a lot of windows. I wound up getting this TV because the in-store team member at Best Buy said this TV would not reflect a lot of light. The screen itself is not exactly "matte," but it is far from glossy/shiny. It does well enough when it comes to preventing any glare or reflection when it is on, but if you're quite particular about it, which I would assume by asking this question that you are, then this TV might not be the perfect match for you.
