- Answer One. Get yourself a Roku box it really is the best. Apple TV 4K isn’t bad but it’s extremely expensive. The fire stick interface is absolutely terrible and they mix pay movies right next to the regular ones in hopes that you click on the pay one by mistake… then there’s google chrome cast which is a joke and only recently you have been able to use that item with the remote they finally figured out that people hate using their phones with it. For my money Roku is never failed me in fact I just replaced my entire surroundsound system with the Roku surroundsound system which works with just one remote it’s unbelievable

QuestionWill this enable me to flip through channels on Sling without having to use the guide? The way you would use the up/down channel buttons on a cable tv service?

- Answer You would have to teach the side click to learn that command basically you face the old remote and the side click together and you press the corresponding buttons on each remote (it’s explained in the directions how to do this) and it should work. It took a few tries for the side click to learn two use my TV menu as opposed to just volume and mute but after a couple tries I was able to get it to learn and to be able to maneuver around the menu using the arrow keys. You just have to be patient but it does work

QuestionWill this work to control volume on a Yamaha Home Theater Receiver?

- Answer Yes, I believe so. We have the Roku Premiere plus the sideclick in our family room. I programmed the power button on sideclick to turn tv on/off, the ‘B’ button powers our Pioneer receiver on/off, The +/- buttons adjust volume through receiver (I also programmed the ^/¥ for volume too but those could be programmed for another device if needed). I programmed the ‘A’ button to power the DVD player however I’m not sure the other buttons will play, stop, fast forward or rewind. Could possibly program the up or down arrows to do 2 of those functions, I haven’t tried. This sideclick was easy to program and the only way I could figure out how to control our tv plus the receiver as our only audio source with 1 remote. I’m very happy with it!

- Answer Each button only learns one function of the IR remote it is learning from. No sequences.

- Answer The Roku remote pictured is not included - just the piece to the left of the Roku remote. Also, you would need the TV's remote control to program the sideclick.

- Answer You should be able to program the buttons any way you want as long as you have the original remote for the SideClick to “learn” from. I programmed it to power our Westinghouse TV and LG sound bar on/off, change the volume on the sound bar, and change the TV input.

- Answer If you purchase the Roku stick it plugs in to the USB of your television and hooks through your wifi. The sidekick is an attachment that you can use so that you only use the Roku remote and the sidekick remote and do not need the remote for your television any longer. The Roku stick is awesome.
