- Answer When you order the installer will have both a 3 prong and 4 prong on the truck and will install whichever matches your current setup, when they install your new range they will use the one that matches you current plug

QuestionRange directions indicated to connect black, white and red wires to a like connection. Smart Choice cord was not color coded. I read where it doesn't matter where the black and red go b/c they make a cont. circuit as long as middle wire goes in middle???

- Answer My last oven was hard wired and when this one was delivered, they would not install until receptacle was installed. I purchased one that's in a box with a cord that wires easily to incoming line. Then the plug couple be used from the oven which works better then hard wire and is safe

- Answer Range circuit is 40 amp minimum, requiring 8 AWG wire. The plug/outlet prong configuration depends on your local grounding code. What does the old range have? Use that, but with a new cord. Don't forget to upgrade your circuit breaker, if necessary. (Some older houses had a 30 amp range circuit, with matching CB.)

- Answer Two different currents. If you hook up a 110V appliance to an active 220V outlet - you run the risk of much more than destroying your appliance. Either rewire the 220V outlet and wall plug to 110V or plug your appliance into another outlet.
