- Answer No, the port is stand alone, arc, one, amp, etc, communicate with your WiFi network, forming a Sonos mesh network all controlled either individually or together as you decide. I found the port very useful addition to my Sonos system. It works great. I have It controlling a non Sonos amplifier and speakers. Plan on adding a turntable or CD player through it soon.

- Answer Hi, and thank you for your question. The Sonos Amp is what you would need. It will allow you to run your outdoor speakers directly into it and stream music wirelessly to them!

- Answer The port has no dac or amplification built in. You can easily separate rooms, unsure about separate music simultaneously in different rooms.

- Answer Hi, and thank you for your question. Yes, you can! Once the receiver is plugged into the input on the Sonos Port, you would then group your Sonos Five with the Port and it will play the source. Just make sure to select "line in" in the browse menu for Sonos Port first.

- Answer Hi, and thanks for your question! Yes, You can use a Sonos Port to plug both of these devices and listen through your Sonos system. Note that for your turntable you may need a phono pre amp. Find more info on that here. https://support.sonos.com/s/article/3548?language=en_US The back of the Port has 1 analog input. As far as the USB flash drive our products do not have USB ports, however you can upload those songs to a Plex account or on a NAS drive and listen wirelessly that way. If you'd like to use your wired Subwoofer, we would suggest the Sonos Amp for whatever speakers you want to use that with. Example, Have the turntable ran to the analog input on the back of Amp, that will power your passive speakers and your wired subwoofer. Amp will not allow you to use your wired subwoofer with one of our speakers or in another room. It will simply power the sub and speakers you'd like use together. - Answer Hi, and thank you for your question. In theory, yes. You could connect directly from the TV to the Port with either a digital coax or analog left/right cables. The port was really designed to plug into the receiver or amplifier but could be done through the tv. We should note that with this set up, you may experience lag or lip sync issues especially if using the analog cables. As Port has to process a signal from the tv and then send it wirelessly. But technically, you can as long as your tv has the proper outputs. However, it's not recommended.

If your turntable does not have a phono preamp built in, you will need to plug your turntable into that, and then that into your Sonos Port. QuestionWhy is this so expensive as just a port to hook up to an already existing applifier? I have a whole house dedicated so Sonos but would like the option for my main system to sync. Is this the only option to do that?

- Answer As far as I know this is the only option. This will basically turn your existing non-streaming setup into a streaming Sonos setup. The Port is replacing the generation 1 Sonos Connect. The Connect was cheaper and still might work in some setups I think.

- Answer You would need a second Sonos Port where your source equipment is located near your projector. Connect the analog output of your source device (Cable Box, BD Player, etc.) to the Sonos Port Line-in connectors on the Port near your projector. Then on the Sonos Port connected to your Sonance Speakers select "Line-In" on the Port with your projector source equipment. I hope this makes sense.
