A:Answer I bought these because I travel on planes about twice a week and I wanted to drown out the engine noise. I can't speak to using them at a gun range, but the noise cancellation is enough to drown out almost all engine noise, especially if you're actively playing music. Overall, I'd imagine they'll easily serve the purpose you're looking to use them for.
